Characteristics of the Cancer sign: emotional, nurturing, kind, artistic, enjoy food, very sensitive, and difficult to satisfy. Cancer rules the stomach which is important in digestion and emotions.

The moon is our soul, our past, the container. It rules the sign of Cancer. The moon regulates all of the cycles in the body and rules over our bodily fluids (lymphatic, sexual, digestive, synovial, and cerebrospinal fluids). The moon’s energy can help us when we feel out of rhythm or out of flow. The moon can help us reach into our subconscious and trust our intuition.

I have a New Moon tuning fork and well as a Full Moon fork. The new moon represents the cycle of one New Moon to the next. It is opening, spiritual, and feminine. The Full Moon represents the cycle of one Full Moon to the next. It is feminine, bridging, and building. I use the New Moon fork on acupuncture points to open a meridian and invite yin energy into the meridian. I usually follow this with the Full Moon fork to bridge and complete the cycle of energy moving. I also use both of these forks on all of the chakras to help open up the stagnate energy that is present.

So the next time you look into the night sky, thank the moon for all of her wonderful healing qualities. You may even see her wink back at you!

I absolutely love giving massage and energy work. It is truly my passion and my gift. I feel healing work is what I chose as my purpose here on Earth to do to contribute to the harmony of life. I Know it is ever evolving and I am FOREVER learning from others and reading books to enhance my practice mentally, spiritually and physically.

With each session, I invite in Source Energy. I invite my Guides and Angels and the clients Guides and Angels. It is not necessary for the client to believe in this process for it to work. I create a safe and sacred space for clients to come and relax and just let go… My hope is that each client feels nurtured and healed to whatever capacity they are ready to be healed. We are all growing and opening to the Love that is here for us at our own pace.

That is the beauty of Earth. It is a school for us to learn and to grow. It is not a judgment of who is better or worse, right or wrong. It is our own unique experience becoming truly what we make it. I choose to make it BLISS!! One of my lessons here is to be grounded. My natural state is in the light and fluffy space where all is spiritual and heavenly, with metaphysical philosophies flowing. What I must concentrate on is Mother Earth and her powerful energies. Being grounded is a beautiful place to be too. For that I am truly grateful. heart smiles to all….

I have decided to write a monthly blog on the current astrological sign, its ruling planet and the mythology behind the planet. So here goes…

Characteristics of Geminis: intellectual, problem solvers, enjoy trivia, energetic, writers,  seek information, quick learners, love short distance travel, witty, nervous, particular, have little emotion, and black and white thinkers.

Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury. In Roman mythology, Mercury is the messenger of the gods who guided souls of the dead to the underworld. He was known to talk his way out of messy situations so he is known for his communication skills.

I use my Mercury tuning fork on most of my clients to help communicate relaxation, balance, harmony, self love, optimism, creativity and growth. I also use it to open the throat chakra which helps clients with their written and communication skills. Whether you need to stand up for yourself, set a boundary or speak your truth, Mercury is there to help.

Last week, Marti and Robbie, the owners of Tribal Wisdom, (the store below our studio) opened their beautiful home to us body workers who rent rooms from them and their employees for a fun get-together. Jonathan Winn, one of our massage therapists, organized this event. The idea was for all of us to get to know each other better while sharing a meal. We had a wonderful time! Thanks Jonathan for taking the initiative to get us together! First, we toured their gorgeous home and fell in love with their meditation room. At one point, 4 or 5 of us were in that room enjoying the great energy in it. I loved their open kitchen and living area. After enjoying our meal, we circled up to discuss our “vision” for our incredible space. We want it to be a place where people can buy unique gifts and receive healing on a physical, mental and spiritual level. We offer massage, sound therapy and rolfing. Our resident rolfer is Christina Kettell. We also decided to create a bumper sticker that represents the Plaza-Midwood area. We will all be at “The Krawl” on June 14th from 6-11pm sharing our healing modalities and handing out the new bumper stickers to the neighborhood. We will also be displaying art work by local artists in our space. So stop by and see us at 1525 Central Avenue. We look forward to seeing you!
